Organised by the Town of Bastogne, the commemoration is a patriotic procession that brings together veterans, brotherhoods, dignitaries, students, Belgian and American military platoons and veterans and includes the laying of two wreaths. The 'Jet de Noix' from the balcony of the Town Hall brings the commemoration to a close. Free admission.
Since 2012 the 106th Inf. Div. Association "Bulge Chapter" has organized an annual commemorative event under the name "Flag of Friendship Ceremony". This ceremony honor the service and sacrifice of veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. A symbolic folded American flag is offered to a person who has shown great support to the veterans and their history.
On 15 December 2019 a new monument will be inaugurated in the village of Schönberg, Belgium in presence of WWII veterans. This memorial tells the story of how approximately 7,000 GI's of the 106th Infantry Division were captured in and around Schönberg, after being surrounded for several days and having suffered many casualties in the heavy fighting. It is placed near the bridge across the Our River and is dedicated to all Prisoners of War.
There will be more than fifty stalls, a toboggan run, a carousel and Santa's house for children! During the weekend, projection of old photos, music of the 1940s.
Roughly a hundred military vehicles of the time and today will parade in the Grand'rue (main street). An event organised by the city in collaboration with the WHI. A static exhibition of these same vehicles will also be on display in the Quartier Latin. Free admission.
Over the weekend, the museum will host a book sale/exchange for war books and historical documents as well as displaying static WWII reconstructions around the building. On Sunday, the public will be able to meet several veterans. Free admission.
This book fair, organised by the Town of Bastogne in collaboration with Croisy bookshop, will take place in the glass-covered hall of INDSé 2nd and 3rd grades (Séminaire), and will offer a wide selection of books dealing with the 1940-45 war, plus a selection for kids. Signing sessions will also be organised. Free admission.

The 101st Airborne Museum’s program for the Nuts Weekend includes a military fair, various public readings about General Patton, signing sessions, and more.
For the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, the Bastogne Memorial ASBL organises the first edition of the Memory Film Festival in collaboration with CineXtra and the Bastogne War Museum. There will be screenings of films and documentaries, movie clubs and VIP events.
Throughout the weekend, the village of Hardigny will readopt the look of the 1940s with a historic, marked trail that will allow visitors to discover and experience the living conditions in the countryside as they were during the winter of 1944-45. A pyrotechnic display will be held on Sunday, 15th December.
From Dec. 13th to Dec. 15th, the village of Bizory hosts an airfield where you can discover the legendary Piper planes. Aerodrome will be open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. The entrance is free.
