Commemoration • 75 years of Liberation Leopoldsburg

An official commemoration in cooperation with Belgian Defence. The Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force and the Liberation Column of the War Heritage Institute and Belgian Defence take part in the commemoration.

Liberation Ride Tielt

Liberation Bike Ride is a promotional event designed for amateurs of biking, families and fans of historical event, organised by the Polish Embassy in Brussels and the Polish Tourism Organisation. Different activities will take place during the day: cycling tours for professionals and families with children, animations in the "Polish Village", music, Polish food and drinks!

Liberation Ball

Enjoy yourself at the Liberation Ball hosted by the Mons Memorial Museum, where you can dance to jazz music of Glen Miller and other post-war bands in vintage clothing.

Art Liberty – From the Berlin Wall to Street Art

Temporary exhibition organised from mid April 2019 until January 2020 in the City of Bastogne and around the Mardasson Memorial. Art Liberty pays tribute to the pioneering artists who have seized the Berlin Wall.

NUTS Weekend Bastogne

2019 will be marked by the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. On the 13, 14, and 15th of December, the Bastogne War Museum will take part in the NUTS Weekend, just like the rest of the city of Bastogne. A series of events will be organised during these three days.

Manhay Battle of the Bulge commemorations

Large gathering of military vehicles from the Second World War, Reconstitutions & Military Bourse held in Grandmenil (Manhay, Belgium) for the 75th anniversary of the Liberation and Battle of the Bulge. The event is organised by Ardennes History Remember and takes place at the Manhay History 44 Museum.

Antwerp Liberation Days

The Liberation Days in Antwerp will mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the city during World War II. The event's activities include a Liberation Parade, a commemorative ceremony, a Liberation Ball and more.

De Grote Rappèl ²

The Grote Rappèl ² is an unforgettable musical spectacle, performed by more than 400 actors, singers, dancers, musicians and other artists. The previous edition was such an overwhelming success in 2016 that we had to play extra performances. Overall, more than 10,000 spectators came to Leopoldsburg.

The celebrations for the liberation of the Belgian city of Mons is a great event of Living History, in which dozens of tanks and other vehicles – among others, from the War Heritage Institute – participate.

Exhibition about the war and the North Sea, the liberation of the Belgian coast, the operations around Walcheren and the shipwrecks at the bottom of the sea.

The liberation of Cendron celebrations

A parade of historic vehicles. Several official ceremonies with flower deposit will also take place. Mass followed by a reception and a picnic. The event takes place at the battle site.
